A film about information, roads, rurality, and the network. An endless journey tuning in and out of radio stations. A metaphor for the network, a journey through the macro.

         THEY COULD NOT BE SEEN
2021
Looking at Dalmellington; an ex mining town, and ‘Parler’, the alt right social media platform, this film examines rurality within the network. It examines rurality as an exposing state and transposes the logic of the network to a damaged landscape.

                          IONA
2020

Iona looks at two ‘Ionas’, Iona the island and Iona the largest cruise ship in the world, questioning the way we consume and ascribe value to place and the camera’s role in the creation/consumption of meaning, landscape, and history.

Focusing on two locations; a folly in an area particularly affected by the lowland clearances and a fifty-foot-high target wall standing alone in the moorland of a bombing range, this film interrogates Scotland’s landscape and the construction of myth.
